History, people and traditions — explored together

TimeTrail, previously called Veer Bharat, introduces historical people and figures from India's epic traditions through reading, listening, quizzes and authored journeys. This page describes version 2.0.

What's included?

Six complete starter trails are free: Marie Curie, Harriet Tubman, Zheng He, Queen Nzinga, Chhatrapati Shivaji and Hanuman. Each has a profile, knowledge checks and an authored journey. All 50 personalities have previews in the Atlas.

Complete Library

One optional purchase in Parent Zone unlocks the current edition: 50 personalities, 43 authored journeys and 429 questions with explanations. The local App Store price is shown before you buy. No subscription is required. The purchase includes this library and its corrections; future expansions may be sold separately.

Existing users keep the original India library, including Lakshmibai. Parent Zone shows what the purchase adds to the library you already have. Cards are earned by learning, independently of purchases.

Restore or share a purchase

Open Parent Zone, complete the grown-up check, choose library options, then Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that owns the purchase. For Family Sharing, check your family's purchase-sharing settings and restore on the family member's device. Family Sharing shares the purchase; it does not create separate child profiles on a shared device.

If a purchase is waiting for Ask to Buy approval, check with the family organizer. Clearing a declined or cancelled request in Parent Zone does not cancel an Apple request. An approved request will still unlock the library.

Learning and progress

• Suggested ages 8–12. Younger readers may need adult help. Topic notes identify war, enslavement, colonialism and religious traditions.
• Historical profiles, sacred and epic stories, and traditional accounts carry labels. Authored journeys use imagined dialogue and choices.
• Earn a card by completing a person's story or scoring at least 80% in their quiz. Repeated activities remain available for practice.
• Bundled learning content works offline. App Store services and iCloud sync require a connection.
• Optional private iCloud sync uses one learning profile per Apple Account. There is no TimeTrail login.
• No third-party ads or analytics. Version 2.0 uses authored stories; AI generation is not enabled.

If progress needs attention

Use the in-app Retry control and check available device storage. Please do not reinstall as the first troubleshooting step. Resetting adaptive quiz statistics does not erase points, completed activities, earned cards or purchase access.

Upgrade suggestions

Optional suggestions appear only in Parent Zone after learning milestones. “Not now” pauses suggestions for 14 days. “Don't show suggestions” turns them off. Library options remain available when you choose to view them.
